October 2011 Prayer Letter

October 2011

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!  Wait a minute, is it January already?  No, of course it isn’t.  But in a lot of ways the start of the school year is more of a new year for us than New Year’s itself.  So, Happy New Year!

The new school year has started.  We have a new schedule here at the center.  And we have already received five new children.  We may end up receiving more new children, but we need to wait a couple of weeks until it becomes more clear if any of our current kids will no longer be coming.  We have several children that have had problems with attendance for quite some time and they now need to make a decision:  go to school and come to the center every day or else not be allowed to come.  Please pray for those who are in this situation.

As most of you know, it has become my habit once each year to write out a list of the children’s names along with the grade they are in.  My hope is that this list will help as you pray for the children.  By the way, if you are reading this letter on the website the list will not appear.  The internet is too open for me to include the children’s names.  If you would like the list just email me and I’ll be happy to share.

Please continue to pray for these children.  Pray for their time at school, their time at the center, and especially for their time at home.  Nearly all of them live in very difficult circumstances.  Pray for protection.  Pray for healing.  Pray for their families.  Pray that each one of them will come to know Jesus and put their trust in Him alone.

Love,

Paul and Ana
