Dear friends,
With much happiness I would like to share with you that on Thursday, June 28th, the community of Word Made Flesh (i.e., Palabra Hecha Hombre) celebrated an important time of prayer and reflection with our friends Brian and Rachel Langley. After 12 years of service to the youth of Lima and to our community, they began a time of sabbatical on July 1st. For most Peruvians, the practice of
sabbatical was a new concept.
However, during our time of prayer, we were all filled with joy and prayed together that their time of sabbatical would be a season of refreshment, renewal, rest, and edification for our brother and sister who we will dearly miss. We ask for your prayers for them for the next nine months and also for the community here in Peru. We continue to experience many changes but are full of faith and a clear understanding that God is working in our midst. I am hopeful and confident God has us in his hands and that we and the Langleys will be extremely blessed through this time.

Queridos amigos
Quería compartir con ustedes con mucha alegría, que el día jueves 28 de junio aquí en la Comunidad de WMF Perú “Palabra Hecha Hombre”, tuvimos un tiempo de oracion muy significativo, despidiendo a nuestros amigos y hermanos Brian y Rachel Langley, quienes iniciaron este 1 de julio, su tiempo Sabático, luego de 12 años sirviendo a los jóvenes y a la Comunidad aquí en Lima Perú.
Para muchos de los peruanos la práctica de un tiempo fuera de sabático es algo nuevo, sin embargo todos nos gozamos y oramos a Dios que este tiempo para los langley, fuera del trajín diario, sea un tiempo de renovación, refrigerio, descanso y fortalecimiento para nuestros amigos a quienes vamos a extrañar.
Pido sus oraciones por ellos para los próximos nueve meses y también por la Comunidad aquí en Perú, que sigue experimentando muchos cambios, con mucha fe y presencia clara del obrar de Dios.
Estoy expectante y confiada en que Dios nos tiene en sus manos y que todos nosotros junto con nuestros amigos Brian y Rachel seremos muy bendecidos durante este tiempo.
