All Things Beautiful

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. “(Ecclesiastes 3:11-12)

It’s spring and nature is coming to life! Flowers flood the fields and birds delight our ears with their song. How beautiful the way our Creator puts a song in their beaks to praise Him and bring us joy!

God makes all things beautiful in His time, as is written in Ecclesiastes that everything has its season. This brings comfort through the sadness I am currently facing.  In September 2016 I began to help a little girl in first grade, Diana, with her homework each day. Together we wrote her first letters and learned basic mathematics. She was just a tiny bird learning to fly and together we rejoiced in each sign of progress. However, in February 2017, due to financial strain of living in the city, Diana moved back to a remote village with her whole family. I miss her and pray for her.

I believe our Heavenly Father rejoices in each small step of progress that I make; He walks with me and comforts me.  Just as this year was for Diana a new challenge and flight into the world or reading and writing, 2017 is for me the first time I will be Summer Camp Coordonator.  It’s a flight into the challenge of organizing, in which I am experiencing personal transformation after a time of brokenness. Then healing follows like a flower that had died only to come to life again.

This is a process our entire staff experience.  Since we are now a Community Center which offers a variety of complex services, we are constantly forced to adapt to new challenges and circumstances that bring suffering and pain. But our Comforter places ointment on our wounds and comforts us.  We also rejoice in this time knowing that our team will be like a tree in the springtime that unfolds its leaves and offers a shady resting place for the children and their families. We know that this ministry is God’s and together we rely on His help.

Prayer requests:

  • Strength for our team in this process of transformation
  • More teachers for the children
  • We will host an Easter Celebration on April 16 with a hot meal for the children and their families. You are welcome to join us, or contribute with food or finances for this celebration.
  • Preparations for Summer Camp

Thank you for choosing to take part in this ministry.  May God bless you for your prayers and your faithful sacrifice in giving.

In Christ,
Doina Micriucov
