Dear Loved Ones,
We rejoice in the reality of being called Christ's friends, but are sobered by the truth that this comes with great responsibility! It is a joy to know Jesus and to be in friendship with God. There is nothing better! And we know that as His friends, we are also His ambassadors, “as though God is making His appeal through us, that the world be reconciled to their Creator, Savior, Friend.” (2 Corinthians 5:16-20)
We can all count it a privilege to be a part of God's purposes, as He has sent out each of us as His ambassadors. We want to thank you for being a part of His call to answer the cries of the poor. Thank you for your constant support and encouragement in our lives over the years.
In less than 2 weeks we're moving to Lima, Peru for 6 months. We are excited for this transition, but recognize our need for your prayers. We need specific prayer for the following:
1. Traveling mercies
2. Good health (I have had some minor health problems this year.)
3. The power and presence of Christ to be realized as we minister among the poor (specifically, the street children)
4. Sufficient financial support (we are currently unsure as to how the Lord will provide the additional travel and ministry expenses this trip requires)
If you feel called to pray and intercede for us everyday please let us know.
