March 2011
I am so sorry I didn’t get a letter sent out last month. I will attempt to make March’s letter twice as readable to make up for it!
Today is Valentine’s Day. Well, actually, yesterday was Valentine’s Day and the day that you are reading this is probably March 3rd or around that time. Anyway, on this day (Valentine’s Day), the majority of the population celebrates love. They love with flowers, chocolate, heart shapes, a special dinner, etc. It is a day set aside to show and receive love. Incredible! Given that yesterday (or last month) was Valentine’s Day, let’s think about all the things that we love. I’ll start my list, or a somewhat stream-of-conscious paragraph, and you start yours.
We just did an office redesign at work and I’m sitting in my new space. I’m right by the windows and I love it! I get to see the sunlight and the shadow of the pigeons as they fly in unison off the building across the street. I love that warmer weather has already shown up and I have actually enjoyed the time I have gotten to spend outside. For the past three years, I have celebrated my birthday with friends and karaoke at Mic’s because it is tradition and because I love it! I love that while watching a movie with two of my closest friends we started reciting one of the lines, dramatically overemphasizing every syllable, and laughing hysterically at ourselves and each other while doing it. Although I cannot see or talk to my sister Halee whenever I want, I do love that I can contact her through Skype, Facebook and email. And while I’m thinking about family, I love, love, LOVE my family! My sisters are my best friends. My sisters’ husbands are my brothers. I smile simply at the thought of my niece and nephew. I have parents who want the very best for me and who support and encourage me through everything. I love when I am reading a really good book (ex. A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius); one that sometimes makes me laugh aloud and other times brings me to tears. That I can, and usually do, eat brussel sprouts everyday is another thing that I love. I am fortunate to live in a warm and comfortable home and I love when we light the candles so that, in addition to warm and comfortable, it also smells of vanilla. I love that Sundays are an opportunity for me to interact, learn and just have fun playing with some incredible kids. These children’s lives are so valuable. I love that I have been shown so much love, real love, God’s love, and that my life is to be (gets to be) an extension of that love. I could just keep thinking of things to write and I love that! Your turn…
Support Account Update:
I still have a positive support account balance! Thank you for giving! There are months when I receive less than my monthly need and months when I receive more than my need. It always seems to balance out and stay outside of the red! Awesome! Whenever you think of me, please pray for me and WMF. Thank you for your support. If you get a chance, write; I would love to hear from you!
