We are so grateful for all the ways you partner with Word Made Flesh, including through your financial donations. We know that COVID-19 has created extra financial hardship for many of our friends. We want to let you know that the US Government has passed the CARES Act to help mitigate these challenges, greetings some extra benefits for our financial partners in 2020. The act lifts limitations on how much of your charitable donation you can deduct on your federal income taxes. This means that you can now deduct 100% of your charitable donations against your income for 2020, instead of the normal 60% for cash donations and 50% for non-cash donations. Additionally, donations of up to $300, whether you itemize or not, can be deducted against other income for donations in 2020 (considered an “Above the Line” deduction).

We hope these new regulations offer you some extra room to continue your generous support to Word Made Flesh in this season. As we navigate this time, we know that God is still at work in communities around the world, infusing hope into the lives of people who are especially hard-pressed. Thank you for saying yes to joining God in this work.
