THE NEED

Word Made Flesh is in mission among and alongside people experiencing extreme poverty, marginalization and vulnerability all over the world. We are currently present in 12 communities in some of the most impoverished places on earth. In these contexts, we encounter pain and suffering, but we also encounter life, joy, celebration and hope. Your end-of-year donation to Word Made Flesh supports life-giving work, empowerment and freedom.

Your gift will go toward advocacy work with women and children in Brazil through the Esther Project, in Bolivia through Suti Sana, and in Rwanda through micro-enterprise. Your gift will also support education and in-home care for children in India, hot meals and life-skills for families in Moldova, clean drinking water and community healthcare training for a village in Papua New Guinea, sustainable nutrition and refuge for families in Romania and Peru, nutritious meals for more than 350 children per week in Sierra Leone, or toward other Word Made Flesh ministries.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays from all of us at Word Made Flesh (WMF) International! Thank God for this season of celebration! We share gifts this season because of the great transforming gift of Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago.

Today, Word Made Flesh staff serve among people in dire need in 12 communities worldwide. In these settings, WMF seeks to be people & communities sharing Hope. Your year-end donation & monthly financial partnership is key to WMF’s 2019 ongoing work. Friends, thank you for partnering with us. Thank you for giving!

Examples of God’s grace shown with Word Made Flesh in 2018:

• New WMF work in Malawi and in the Navajo Nation, along with continuing work in our other communities including India, Romania, Peru, Bolivia, Moldova, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Brazil, Colombia…
• A number of new staff in the International Office providing ability to offer increased services to staff around the world.
• In our communities around the world, hosting short-term teams, interns, study-abroad students, and volunteers from various churches, schools, and community organizations. We find it to be part of our vocational work to seek to provide space for people to experience how Jesus is at work in the hearts of peoples and their cultures.
• Our journal – The Cry – continues to be a blessing to people around the world. We are offering an annual print subscription that includes 4 quarterly issues, a WMF logo mug, & WMF decal. Print subscriptions make great gifts and are a meaningful way to support our mission. (You can subscribe to a print copy of The Cry here or digital content is free online here.)

Much good is happening. Yet, Word Made Flesh has significant financial needs which must be met in order to undergird operating expenses and maintain staff support so that our missional endeavors can continue.

Each gift given will support our mission of serving Jesus among those experiencing extreme poverty and vulnerability around the world. With gifts as little as $50, together we could sustain the life-giving work of many different Word Made Flesh communities. This would include advocacy work with women and children in Brazil through the Esther Project, in Bolivia through Suti Sana, and in Rwanda through micro-enterprise. Your gift will also support education and in-home care for children in India, hot meals and life-skills for families in Moldova, clean drinking water and community healthcare training for a village in Papua New Guinea, sustainable nutrition and refuge for families in Romania and Peru, nutritious meals for more than 350 children per week in Sierra Leone, or toward other Word Made Flesh ministries.
